Bridging the gap between the east coast of Ireland and the east coast of Vancouver Island, between a song and its story, between a tune and its tradition comes a collaboration between two of the finest exponents of their respective crafts –Terry Boyle, native of Dublin, singer, guitar player, song writer and Ceilidh Briscoe, native of Victoria, BC, fiddler extraordinaire.
Terry often delves into his vast repertoire of Celtic songs, some teary, some cheery, some sing-along and some from the archives, with a song or story for almost every occasion. He continues to enhance his reputation
as a writer of fine songs on many topics – social commentary, relationships, the whimsical, the historical.
Following “Terry Boyle”, his first CD of original songs, Terry released a 7-song album, “Life’s Too Short” in November 2018. A new album of eight original songs “Cast a Cold Eye”, was released in July 2025.
Ceilidh Briscoe, currently a member of Victoria Symphony Orchestra, is a five time North American Fiddle Champion, and an All-Ireland Fiddle Champion. Ceilidh is proud to have performed in Ireland, the UK, Scandinavia, Germany, China, and across North America with the world renowned “Riverdance”.
With her exciting renditions of jigs and reels and her beautiful accompaniment to songs, Ceilidh is much in demand.
Together, Terry and Ceilidh present a dynamic performance of songs and tunes in the style of an intimate kitchen concert. Usually exhilarating and free flowing, sometimes mellow and thoughtful, but always hugely entertaining and engaging, this exciting duo is not to be missed.
