Have a hankering to sing out with your neighbours, or to harmonize to songs you know, or simply to enjoy an evening of music with like-minded folks? Well, your chance is coming this Friday. Deep Cove Folk invites you to attend an extra-special evening where we’ll gather and sing some of those great old songs and have a wonderful time doing it!
This community celebration will occur 7:00-9:00PM, Friday, September 6 at St. John’s Church (10990 West Saanich Road). There’ll be no admission charge!
You’ll not only have a chance to sing your heart out and get together with your neighbours, but you’ll also be treated to some free baked goodies and will a have a chance to meet the volunteers who are working to make Deep Cove Folk’s 36th year its best yet.
We’ve always believed that singing is great therapy for dealing with the stresses of our day-to-day lives. There’s something about the camaraderie of lifting voices together in song that soothes the soul and generates amazing feelings of enjoyment and fellowship. When the barrier between audience and performer is broken down and everyone becomes involved in making music, something very magical happens, something to be treasured. Come out this Friday and see, hear and feel how this works…you’ll be glad you did!
