The format for Deep Cove Folk begins at 7:30 with a 45-60 minute open stage (10 minutes per performer). This is  followed by a 15 minute break and then a 60 minute concert by a featured artist or group which would typically begin at 8:45 and end about 9:45

Deep Cove Folk (DCF) is an informal group that has operated for 30 years through the efforts of volunteers who are dedicated to the idea that a monthly night of acoustic music in the relaxed setting of a small country church is a valuable and enjoyable aspect of our community. We are a non-profit organization, registered under the BC Societies Act and our goal is to take in sufficient money to meet our expenses and pay the musicians. Even the volunteers and the directors pay admission to our monthly concerts.

DCF was initiated in January 1989 by our founding mother, Jill King, and DCF has continued since then at the same venue, St Johns United Church, which recently received a heritage building designation by the District of North Saanich.

Deep Cove Folk is a partner in support of community based music on the peninsula and highly recommend the Folk and Fiddle Festival www.folknfiddle.ca.

We could use your help!

If you would like to help with any aspect of DCF, contact us here at info@deepcovefolk.ca or at the concerts on the second Friday of the month.
